Last year, 6% of people asked AI to find a local business.
This year it’s 45%.

Fewer and fewer people are scrolling search results. They ask ChatGPT for a recommendation. If AI doesn’t know your business, you don’t exist.

Here’s how it works. The AI reads a few local websites and picks one. If it can’t read yours, you were never in the running. And nothing tells you it happened — no missed call, no lost lead. Just silence.

Let us check for you. We’ll read your site the way an AI does, then score what it found and what it missed.

Nothing on your website changes. We only read your pages, exactly the way an AI assistant would.

Figures from BrightLocal’s Local Consumer Review Survey 2026, a panel of 1,002 US consumers. AI has already become the third most common way people find a local business, behind only Google and Facebook.

Here’s what we check for you

  1. Can an AI assistant tell who you are?Your name, address, opening hours and phone number, written somewhere an AI assistant can read them without guessing.
  2. Is there a short guide for AI assistants?A small file called llms.txt that lays out how your site is organised, so an AI assistant spends less effort finding its way around.
  3. Are AI assistants allowed in at all? Some sites quietly turn them away without the owner ever knowing. We’ll tell you if yours does.
  4. Can it read your menu and prices? An AI assistant reads words, but not a photo of a menu. If your prices live inside an image, they may as well not be there.
  5. Can it actually book you?The one that matters most. An AI assistant can only finish a booking if there’s a booking page it can open — it can’t pick up the phone for your customer.
